We would like to invite you to the fourth instalment of the WNĘTRZA MUZYKI concert series, which is well-known to our audience. The special concert, which will take place on Friday, 4 November 2022 at 7 p.m. in the Nizio Gallery, is the result of cooperation with the Association of Polish Chamber Musicians, the organiser of the 2nd WOMEN IN MUSIC / WOMEN IN MUSIC Festival. The concert is an accompanying event, included in the programme of this year’s edition of the Festival.
Honorary patronage over the concert was assumed by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Thomas Bagger and his wife.
In the Nizio Gallery, we will hear works by Polish and German female composers working from the early 19th century to the present day: Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, Grażyna Bacewicz, Marta Ptaszyńska, Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska, Hanna Kulenty, Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk. The concert programme consists of works that will take the audience on a sound journey along the trail of female musicality and into the depths of expression shaped over the decades. The concert will be a starting point for reflection on how music composed by women shows the spirit of their times and where common points can be found at the meeting point of Polish and German cultures.
The concert will feature:
▪ Magdalena Molendowska – soprano
▪ Freya Müller – mezzo-soprano
▪ Julia Samojło – piano
▪ Zarębski Piano Duo: Piotr Różański, Grzegorz Mania
Details of the concert are available in the event description on Galeria Nizio’s Facebook fanpage: II WOMEN IN MUSIC Festival – accompanying concert from the WNĘTRZA MUZYKI vol. 4 series.
